Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce Hires New Executive Director

WATSEKA, ILLINOIS—The Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce has named Carrie Yana as the new Executive Director.  Carrie will begin her duties on Monday, March 3rd.

Carrie graduated from Illinois State University in 2005.  Her qualifications include a background in volunteer work, public relations and customer service.

When asked why she wanted the position of Executive Director, Carrie said "this position would allow me to be a vital part of the community.  My hope is to continue the strong programs that the Chamber has for its members and the community as a whole".

Rhonda Pence, Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce President remarked that "now more than ever, the Chamber needs a director who can not only perform the necessary job functions but, one who can serve as a motivational force to keep varied area organizations working together for one goal – the recovery and improvement of all areas of this community”.

Carrie lives in Watseka and is a member of Toastmasters and the Trinity Church.
