Business encouraged to decorate windows

The Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce another window display contest for the upcoming holiday season. This year’s theme is A Story Book Christmas. Front window displays must be decorated in the spirit of the Christmas holiday season. If you do not have a front window for a display, businesses can decorate an area inside their front door. Displays must be completed by noon on Tuesday, November 20th. Displays will be judged in the early evening to capture the essence of the Christmas lights. Prizes will be awarded in 3 categories with 1 winner in each category: Best Use of Theme (A Story Book Christmas), Best incorporation of products/services, and Best Use of Lights. There is no charge to participate in this event and it is open to any Watseka business. To register your business, please contact the Chamber office by stopping by 206 E. Walnut Street in Watseka or phone (815) 432-2416. Registration deadline is November 14, 2007 in order to be included in the judging.
