Chamber Conducts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony at Slip Into Style on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. The ribbon cutting ceremony was conducted to celebrate the business’ grand opening. Crissie Sears, along with her husband, Tim McCullough, cut the ceremonial ribbon.

Slip Into Style is located at 131 East Walnut Street in downtown Watseka. Slip Into Style is owned by life-long Watseka resident, Crissie Sears. Slip Into Style specializes in brand new designer-inspired purses and jewelry, along with name brand clothing for the whole family.

Sears says that this business is a dream of hers. When Sears was 12 years old, she was diagnosed with Leukemia. “The residents of Watseka pulled together to help me and my family. Even though I was young, I always wanted to give back to the community. Opening my store has fulfilled a life-long dream of mine, and a small way to give back to the community,” Sears stated.

Slip Into Style is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9am – 5:30pm, Thursday from 9am – 1:30pm, Friday from 9am – 6:30pm, and Saturday from 9am – 3:30pm. They are now accepting summer consignments. For more information about Slip Into Style, call (815) 432-3345.
