New Signs For Watseka

New welcome signs are going up in Watseka. The new signs have been purchased by the Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce with assistance from the City of Watseka. The new signs have been designed and made by Watseka Sign Company. The signs feature a pictorial of city landmarks including the Old Courthouse Museum, Watseka Union Depot, Opera House, Police Station, downtown shopping district, smiley faced water tower, and grain elevator. The new signs feature reflective white paint which makes the signs stand out at night. There are two new signs up now; one in front of the Masonic Lodge on West Walnut Street with the other by the Times-Republic office on East Walnut Street. Two additional signs will be added soon. Those signs will be placed at the city limits at the Route 1 North bridge and US 24 West by the smiley faced water tower.
