Little Mister & Miss Contest Deadline Nears

The Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the addition of an event to this year’s July 4th holiday celebration line-up, the Little Mister & Miss Firecracker Contest.

The Little Mister & Miss Firecracker Contest will consist of a coloring contest; open to area children ages 4 through 7. Any material can be used on the coloring sheet such as crayon, market, colored pencils, paint, etc. One male and female winner will be chosen by a panel of judges and named Little Mister and Miss Firecracker 2007 based on their submitted coloring sheet. The winners will ride in the 2007 July 4th Parade. The parade is set for 11:00 a.m. Submitted Coloring Sheets will be displayed in business windows throughout Watseka during the July 4th holiday.

Coloring Sheets can be obtained from the Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce office at 206 E Walnut Street, Illiana Backyard Fun at 800 E Walnut Street, and Z’s Hair Design at 115 N Fourth Street, all in Watseka. Completed Coloring Sheets needed to be turned in to any of those three locations by June 22, 2007 in order to be included in the judging.
