On
Tuesday, June 20, 2006, the Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a
ribbon-cutting ceremony at Illiana Backyard Fun, Inc, located at 800 East
Walnut Street in Watseka. The ceremony celebrated the move to their brand
new location.
Illiana Backyard Fun, owned and operated by Kristie Cheatum, opened its
doors at its new location on March 31, 2006. They have added a new building
in the back which accommodates a larger selection of pools, spas, chemicals,
and accessories. Since the move, they have also expanded their gift shop
which includes Keeper of the Light candles, Illini gifts, variety of sports
pennants, and a huge variety of patio lights.
Upcoming events at Illiana Backyard Fun include a booth at the Iroquois
County Fair with huge spa savings, a chemical sale July 15 through July 31,
and an open house on Saturday, August 26 at noon with a spa giveaway. Listen

The Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce offers ribbon-cutting ceremonies
exclusively to Chamber members to help promote commercial advancement in the
community. Ribbon-cuttings can be used to celebrate the opening of a new
store, anniversaries, grand openings, new locations, or any other
