1st Trust Bank Hosts Business After
Hours
On
Wednesday, February 7, 2007 seventy-eight Chamber members and guests
attended Business After Hours hosted by the First Trust & Savings
Bank of Watseka, located at 120 East Walnut Street in Watseka.
Darcey Smith, Chamber Executive Director, welcomed all members,
employees, and guests.
Smith announced that Customer Appreciation Days will be March
29-31st throughout Watseka. This event is always sponsored by the
Chamber’s Business Promotions Committee. Lauri Zumwalt, chairperson
of the Chamber’s Seminar Committee, reminded attendees that
registrations are now being accepted for the March 13th seminar,
entitled “Reality Sells”.
Smith,
then, introduced Kerry Bell, President of First Trust & Savings
Bank. Bell spoke briefly about the “team” of employees at First
Trust. Bell also entertained guests by reading David Letterman’s Top
10 Reasons Why the Bears Lost the Superbowl. Throughout the evening,
guests enjoyed entertainment from the barbershop quartet, The Moody
Lights out of Rensaellaer Indiana.
Jim
VanNatta of Quality Super Market won the Chamber’s 50/50 drawing.
VanNatta graciously donated his winnings to Sugar Creek Symphony &
Song. First Trust gave away two door prizes; gold plated 2006 NFC
Champion coin and a 2006 AFC Champion coin. Each coin was one of
5,000 made. Kristie Cheatum of Illiana Backyard Fun was the first
name drawn. Cheatum chose the NFC Champion Chicago Bears coin for
her prize. Paul Carlson of The Watseka Elks Lodge was the second
name drawn. Carlson received the AFC Champion Indianapolis Colts
coin for his prize.
Business After Hours is a program of the Watseka Area Chamber of
Commerce, designed to provide networking opportunities for area
businesses and organizations, as well as to help promote the
community through the success of its members. For more information
